The year was 1992—not so long ago? Actually it was 25 years ago, before kids and car payments, before growing up, it was still long hair and staying up all night listening to your favourite music and not having to pay for it the next morning.
Then there was the rock band, Love/Hate. Out and about with Ozzy Osbourne on their No More Tears European tour. Somewhere in the middle of the mayhem an early morning knock came on the tour bus door. Always the first one up Jizzy Pearl opened the door a crack and peered out—“Congratulations…” said an Ozzy roadie– “Your new record just broke the Top 20!” That record was WASTED IN AMERICA, second in line and coming fast on the heels of their successful first record BLACKOUT IN THE RED ROOM.
Last year, Jizzy Pearl did a UK tour in celebration of Blackout in the Red Room’s 25th anniversary and next year he will be here for the 25th anniversary of ‘Wasted in America’.
For the first time ever the record will be played in it’s entirety, with many tracks getting a rare airing – and of course, plenty of other cuts and favourites will be also played.
Alongside SSD Concerts, we are promoting the Newcastle show again – and – this is a proper ‘return home’ type show as with Trillians now up and running at full steam and back to glory, by request – Jizzy will be playing there.
The date is Thursday 16th March 2017. Tickets are on sale now at only £12 advance (likely £14 on the door) and available here (clicky) or search on www.seetickets.com
Special guests on this tour are Bulletproof Rose.
As always, Jizzy is happy to do a meet and greet with fans after the show for autographs, photos and all of that. Proper star 🙂
