  • New Tragedy video & album ahead of tour

In an upside down world being torn at the seams, Tragedy brings us all together by uniting two warring factions – Disco and Metal.

The video stars comedian/musician/author Dave Hill in a role reminiscent of Tony Manero in the classic film, Saturday Night Fever, except with a little less success on the dance floor. He admires a handsome and talented disco-dancer (Nobuya Nagahama) at the club, but every time our Tony takes to the dance floor, he gets caught up in metal mayhem. Eventually, Tony finds salvation in a Disco-Metal transformation, inspired by his favorite band, Tragedy.

The track is a new version of their version of Stayin’ Alive, taken from new album ‘The Joy of Sex’ – it’s out today and available to download from Amazon and other such sites.

The band are touring for this album very soon and play Think Tank in Newcastle on March 1st – tickets available here

Alex Comfort’s 1970’s sex manual, The Joy of Sex, was discovered by each of the band members when left alone in the house as a curious young man. Tragedy, with the advice of doctors and professional counselors, has created the first real Adult Sex Information Metal Album ever recorded. The Joy of Sex is for mature people who want to make their lovemaking richer and more varied.

These songs are presented alongside hand-drawn artwork, and discussed in unanxious practical detail, with reassuring authority and a sense of decimation.

“We are always being asked to graphically illustrate our lovemaking methods to our fans”, says Tragedy’s Mo’Royce Peterson, “and now, the whole world will be able to hold us in the palms of their hands and the drums of their ears, as we guide them through life’s carnal pleasures.”

The tracklist for the album is :

    MANEATER
    BAKER STREET
    DO YA THINK I’M SEXY
    FUNKYTOWN
    LITTLE RED CORVETTE
    BORDERLINE
    STAYIN’ ALIVE
    NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP

Like anything with Tragedy, you are sure of a good time and a good laugh.  Don’t miss this tour!
