  • Show announcement : Tragedy : The All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees & Beyond

It’s time for a gig announcement and, yes, we’re pleased to announce : Tragedy : The All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees & Beyond will be making their regular pilgrimage to Newcastle
    Hurray.

This time, coming to a bar they were meant to play many years ago, but circumstances denied… boo… but, this time the venue, like the band, are back better than ever

    Yes folks

May 22nd – live at Trillians Rock Bar

There are two types of people this show is for
Those who know and love Tragedy we’re sure will be pleased to see their heroes and idols in the flesh
    and
Those who don’t – becasuse there are many people who are missing out on the sweet sweet loving Tragedy can offer.

Born out of the impenetrable divide of Disco and Metal, these fearsome brothers fearlessly obliterated the truce line that had been set in the great Disco/Metal Peace accord of 1977 when they seamlessly blended the two genres with their debut album, We Rock Sweet Balls and Can Do No Wrong – a collection of Bee Gees songs redone in a heavy metal treatment reminiscent of Judas Priest, Motley Crue and Guns N Roses. Since then, they have crisscrossed the globe with their spectacular live shows and having stormed across the USA, UK, Germany, Netherlands, France and Switzerland. Subsequent full length albums, Humbled By Our Greatness, Death To False Disco Metal, The Solo Albums and The Joy of Sex have seen them spread their glittered wings to take on non Bee Gees classics from the disco era, soft rock anthems and party jams.In 2015, Tragedy broke the internet with a viral video featuring their take on You’re the One That I Want from the Grease soundtrack.  In 2017, Tragedy’s video for Stayin’ Alive broke the internet once again.

If you’re allergic to smiling be afraid… be very afraid. Tragedy sweats glitter and cums confetti!

  • KMFDM – first ever Newcastle show!

Celebrating their KMFDM ROCKS album, we’re pleased to announce… for the first time in their 33 year history…

    MAY 22nd 2017
    KMFDM
    Live at Think Tank

With some very special guests to be added.

Tickets on sale here from www.seetickets.com

I’m sure many are familiar with KMFDM – they are widely regarded as music pioneers, fusing the industrial and electronics of the early 80s with heavy metal of the time – and progressing and evolving with each albums.  They were a major influence on many of the industrial-metal and cross-over bands of the late 80s, 90s and beyond.

Coupled with the PIG show in March, we have plenty of scene-royalty coming your way.

  • New show : Marco Mendoza

marcoalldatesMARCO MENDOZA TO RETURN IN FEBRUARY

With the sweat still fresh on his bass guitar after the most successful run of sold-out dates yet for The Dead Daisies, Marco Mendoza will return to the UK for an eight date tour stretching from Aberdeen to Southampton.

The multi-talented musician who has played with a list of some of the biggest names in rock music including Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Neal Schon of Journey and Ted Nugent to name a few, brings his eclectic show back to these shores.

With a background that bridges the gap between contemporary music in rock and pop, along with jazz, fusion and soul, Marco has a tonal quality to his voice, not unlike some of the greatest jazz and blues singers of the past that can easily memorise a crowd.

Some new material will be offered up on the tour along with some of the greatest hits by rock artists and beyond, and if its anything like The Dead Daisies current tour, tickets will potentially go very quickly.

  • Dorje Return set for Sunderland Show

    Dorje
    live at Sunderland Independent

    May 27th 2016

After two great shows last year, Dorje return to the region – this time hitting up Sunderland Independent – in order to be closer to fans who couldn’t quite make it last time and close enough for those who could.

If you’re unfamiliar with Dorje, they’re a great modern technical band – not too dissimilar to Alter Bridge or Incubus, they are also really well connected to their fans – harnessing social media and holding many clinics and Q+A sessions. Dave “Chappers” Chapman is a complete guru when it comes to guitars and gear (and even built a custom range based on fan feedback!) and this really helps turn them into an approachable, professional and quality band.

Check em out here : http://www.dorje.tv/ or on Rob’s youtube channel here

Tickets are £10 in advance from www.seetickets.com – Reflex -etc
You can also pick up VIP tickets for just £20 (includes meet and greet, poster, entry, etc)
